Project brief
Concept4 were appointed to develop creative office design proposals by new start-up Graphcore in 2016. The initial client brief was provided by Nigel Toon, founder & CEO including an inspired idea for a barista bar reception to provide an amazing coffee experience for visitors and staff.
The design philosophy was to create an industrial style environment with exposed ceilings & new stainless-steel HVAC units, feature suspended lighting and adding brick slips, wooden flooring, communal breakout areas and more relaxed furniture in meeting rooms.
We created accommodation expansion plans to match accelerated rapid growth in projected headcount with detailed budget forecasts for each additional phase. We have now fully refurbished 4 floors covering 34,000 ft2 including Cat A requirements and client fit-out both on time and to agreed budgets.
Concept4 specified and installed all furniture including height adjustable desks and initiated a global framework agreement with Herman Miller.
